Like it never got burnt!
We are very impressed with the repair work to our burn mark on the kitchen worktop. It looks as good as new and anyone who hadn’t seen it cannot find where it has been repaired! Great job!

During this process chunks of tile flew off and hit the fireplace. This was a plaster fireplace that the customer had professionally hand painted to replicate marble. After the trades had finished removing the floor tiles, there were 56 separate areas of damage to the fireplace.
The customer reported the damage to the Aviva claims team, who contacted Plastic Surgeon to see whether a repair was possible. Plastic Surgeon’s regional manager assessed the damage and reported that the fireplace could be saved.
Plastic Surgeon’s highly skilled Finisher cleaned and prepared the damaged surfaces prior to filling them with a special filler. After sanding and matching the original contours of the fireplace the finisher then undertook the most complicated process, which was to match the colour and pattern of the hand painted marble.
All Plastic Surgeon’s Finishers are trained in colour theory and receive specialist training in colour mixing and hand painting. The Finisher painstakingly hand painted the marble pattern, exactly matching the colour of the original surrounding areas.
The occupiers were very impressed with the finished results and relieved that they did not have to rip out the fireplace, which could have resulted in yet more damage to their lounge.
The fireplace was restored within a day, and the cost was covered by Aviva.
